New Camera!

Well I persuaded parents to go halves with me on the cost of a new camera (Nikon D3100) for my birthday. Had my first proper go with it over the last week and I'll be posting the results shortly. I know I want to do macro stuff, but looking around there's all sorts of other bits that look fun (e.g. IR filtered stuff) so I've got a stack of cheap filters/lenses from eBay to have a play and see what I like and then maybe buy some better bits and bobs. Going to be fun!

It's been a while...

Thought I'd finally get round to posting some of the photos from my first trip to the US, which was to visit family in Colorado and then Oregon for 2 weeks last September. I had an awesome time and my only regret is not having the money to have bought a new camera before I went. My Nikon Coolpix 4500 is starting to show its age :(
All the pictures are from my stay in Colorado, from going up Trail Ridge Road, visiting Estes Park, Red Rock Amphitheatre, Royal Gorge and a few other places. Colour correction and cropping is pretty much all I did by way of any editing except for a couple of shots where I seem to have a stuck pixel on the sensor o
